Niklas Lukassen is passionate about passing on his knowledge of music. His teaching experience ranges from beginning musicians to studied professionals. In his effort to help the student maximize their creative potential in both art and craft, he offers a concise method for each students individual needs. He has had the privilege of learning from his personal role models and some of the finest musicians in jazz and understands the value of true mentorship. With critical ears and thoughtful instruction, Niklas Lukassen seeks to inspire and structure each students journey as an ever growing musician.

While on tour, he frequently gives masterclasses internationally and he has been on faculty at numerous workshops and summer programs such as Ventspils Groove (Latvia), Lords of the Low End by La Bella
(NYC), Drum & Bass Festival (Dresden), Rheingold Masterclasses (Duisburg) and Jiggs

He holds teaching positions at the Music Conservatory Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and at the BIMM Institute Berlin. To further his own research, he is currently pursuing his Performance Practice PhD at the Royal Academy of music.
